News from the SCAS Community: Academies & Honorary Degrees


Gunnel Cederlöf has been elected working member of the historical and antiquarian
class of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities.

Professor Cederlöf, Linnaeus University, Växjö, was a Fellow at SCAS in the spring
term of 2000.


Erika Fischer-Lichte has been elected International Honorary Member of the American
Academy of Arts and Sciences. She joins as a member of section 5, the "Visual and
Performing Arts – Scholarship, Criticism, and Practice", of Class IV - Humanties and
Arts.

Professor Fischer-Lichte, Freie Universität Berlin, is a member of the Selection
Committee of the SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Programme.


Ingela Nilsson has been elected working member of the philosophical and philological
class of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities.

Professor Nilsson, Uppsala University, is a former Pro Futura Scientia Fellow. She was
in residence at the Collegium in the academic years 2007-08 and 2010-11.


Helga Nowotny has been awarded an honorary degree at the University of Oxford.

Professor Nowotny, Wiener Wissenschafts-, Forschungs- und Technologiefonds
(WWTF), is a Member of the Academic Senate of the Collegium.
